First and foremost, here’s hoping you all had a great holiday weekend. A three-day weekend is always welcomed so we can all recharge our batteries.
During that time period, some of you may have done some reading while relaxing with family. We certainly did and ran across an interesting piece in the Wall Street Journal about Millenials (which are adults covering the ages 18 to 34).
It seems Millenials are just like the rest of us when it comes to home renovations. The story indicates that, contrary to popular perception, a survey found that younger people aren’t exactly keener on trendy upgrades such as green materials and smart technology when it comes to renovating homes.
According to the story, younger homeowners may not be showing much more interest in these products than their older counterparts because they are slightly more cost conscious. Interest in renovations appears to be just as common among younger owners as older people.
“Folks are thinking about homes as a more durable investment,” said Nino Sitchinava, principal economist at Houzz, a home renovation website.
We say no matter what your age is you have to do what’s proper for you, particularly, when it comes to the financial end. One has to have a comfort zone in life! By all means, please reach out if we can be of any assistance.
